                    Notes about Thomson Bibliographies



     These bibliographies are based upon Michael Meckna's Virgil

Thomson -- A Bio-Bibliography (New York: Greenwood Press, 1986), which is a

detailed bibliography and pretty new.  However, I have found several items

which are not included in Meckna's book.  I have put them in these

bibliographies.



The sources are Arts and Humanities Citation Index, notes for the

recordings, and Frank McCarty's personal collections.  There may

be more items to be discovered.
