Richard Rodgers - note on files



     Even though Richard Rodgers spells his name Rod... the entries are under

the prefix ROG so to not confuse them with the entries for Jimmy Rodgers. The

file includes all works and/or writings by and about Richard Rodgers. There

are approximately nine hundred forty-five entries. The main sources used for

all entries were Pro-Quest 1, the JACLIN catalog at UNCG, Richard Rodgers fact book,

and Rodgers and Hammerstein fact book.

     Richard Rodgers works are housed at the Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives

of Recorded Sound at the Performing Arts Research Center of the New York

Public Library. It was founded by Rodgers and Hammerstein in 1965.
