Information on each of the composers in my project is included in a
separate folder (set of files).

FOCBIB - my selected, annotated bibliography includes all five.

FRE - Eleanor Everest Freer
GLH - Peggy Glanville-Hicks
MCM - Mary Carr Moore
SMJ - Julia Smith

*REF files include even minor appearances in reference books, as even
a brief mention in the male-dominated early works reflects the importance
of each composer's contribution.

*CMP files are taken primarily from Aaron Cohen's book,  An International
Discography of Women Composers (Books in Music, 1987).  Where publication
information is incomplete, that is all that was available.  Additional
information is from the Catherine Smith book, Mary Carr Moore, American
Composer ( ) and the Deborah Hayes book, Peggy Glanville-Hicks:  A
Bio-Bibliography.

*WRI files are complete in periodical literature from 1949-present with a
few earlier entries which I found in other bibliographies, and complete in
books to the extent of my research so far.  

*ARL files are complete from 1949-present.

*DSC  files are taken from Jane Frasier's Women Composers:  A Discography.

*UPB files are complete but there was very little out there in the way of
dissertations, etc.

*BOK include the only two citations that I have found which are entirely
devoted to one of the five composers in this project.
