Duke Ellington - note on files



     Some of the materials contained herein were culled from AmeriGrove, Jazz

Grove, and various bibliographies contained in the sources cited in the

bibliography.  I have limited myself to sources for which I could obtain a

full citing, so some sources listed in Grove do not appear here.  Further,

I have limited myself to sources that directly deal with Ellington and his

impact.  As he performed and composed with a vast majority of the

professional jazz world over 50 years, to cite every source that mentions

him would be a daunting task indeed.  This bibliography, with the above

limits observed, is fully complete to the best of my knowledge and ability.
